👋 Hi! I'm Elaine (she/her).
I am a Master of Public Policy and Global Affairs graduate with a Bachelor's in Psychology, offering a blend of analytical rigor and applied policy experience from my role at the BC Ministry of Finance. My graduate training covered legislative and regulatory analysis, policy evaluation, and mixed-methods research across areas including public health governance and statutory compliance. At the Ministry, I interpreted legislation and ministry standards to assess risk and compliance, and prepared analysis for senior staff under tight timelines. I also bring a behavioural intervention background, including over two years working with children and youth on the autism spectrum and mentoring students with disabilities, which shapes how I approach research involving vulnerable populations and equity-focused policy work. Proficient in tools including Stata, R, SQL, Power BI, and NVivo, I bring strong analytical, communication, and writing skills to policy research and analysis.

Did you know I have a service dog? 🐶🐕🦺
He has a BC Guide Dog and Service Dog certification that we renew every 2 years- this means every 2 years, he needs to reassessed to ensure he is performing up to service dog standards. When he is outside with me, it looks like he's just resting and not doing anything! But he's actually always checking in - like through subtle eye contact to make sure I'm okay.
